Comments, replies and mentions

Anyone signed in can comment on a post, reply to a comment, and like comments. You can delete your own comment at any time; the post's author cannot edit your words, and neither can you — delete and write again instead. As an author you can switch comments off for any of your posts from the ⋯ menu, and back on again. Off means the comment section is closed — existing comments stay stored and return if you switch it back on. Writing @username in a post or comment mentions that person; they get a notification, if their mention settings allow it. You control who may mention you in Settings, Privacy & safety: everyone, only people who follow you, or nobody.
