Delete your account

Settings, Account, at the bottom. Deletion is not immediate: there is a 14-day grace period, and until it ends you can cancel from the same place by signing back in. When deletion executes, it is complete and permanent: your profile, posts, comments, likes, saves, follows and uploaded images are erased. Content that referenced you — for example a credit naming your handle — loses the reference. There is no restore. If you only want to disappear from the public site, consider making your account private or your posts private instead; both are reversible.
